"On the last quarter of 2019 I managed to put aside my anxiety of performing my own music and formed a band in order to play Delfon material, comprised of people I respect and love. We managed to play two shows in the beginning of 2020 before the pandemic hit and everything shut down. Luckily the shows were recorded. I didn't know how important that would be (other than for archive purposes) until I recently went back and listened to the performances, which acted as a reminder of the beautiful things and the people that are close to my heart, the feeling of making out their faces in the crowd and seeing them smiling, and the experience of getting to play music with amazing people. This all facilitated to the making of Familiar Face, a live album made of tracks taken from these two performances. Also included are two songs from the Delfon sessions which didn't make the cut: Different Bags is an acoustic version of Bags which is actually closer to how the song sounded when it was originally conceived back in 2017. Terminal is a song I wrote in the spring of 2016 and has nothing to do with the Delfon writing process, but I felt it needed to be documented as it shares a common theme with the rest of the songs on Delfon. It also features my best friends playing on it so it might just be the most important of the batch. Hope you enjoy, stay safe!"
